Connie and Amy from Kitchener, ON travelled out to meet Amanda after her Monday, March 4 show in London, ON. After Amanda's left the stage, she invited the two winners into her private tour bus for the ride to Toronto, ON. Winner Connie described the trip as an "awesome experience." |

February 26, 2002 Behind "Sunday Morning After" Amanda's video for "Sunday Morning After" is currently making a big impact on MuchMusic. We want to give insight into the creative process behind the vid by giving you a look at an excerpt from the script treatment by director Stephen Scott. "Sunday Morning After" By Stephen Scott "This will be a fun and hip video that begins with the aftermath of a wild party and then shows us how we got there. It's based on a phenomenon that is almost like a rite of passage for any young person: being the host of a party that spins completely out of control. What to do? Ride the wave and hang on tight to your surfboard, or in this case, air mattress… We hear a phone ringing, and Amanda comes drifting into the frame in close-up. A series of shots set the scene as the opening conversation is heard. She's asleep. On an air mattress. Floating in about six inches of water. In her flooded apartment! The telephone floats by on a serving tray like a little toy boat. As the song kicks in we gradually reveal more of the room; Amanda's large funky pad has been turned into a shambles. Curtains are torn, lamps are trashed, graffiti and globs of ketchup stain the walls. Furniture floats in the water along with all kinds of party flotsam: bottles, cans, streamers, hats, balloons, ashtrays, food, and hey, is it just me or was that the cat floating by in a fruit bowl?…" |
