Amanda On Movie Of The Week Soundtrack

The March 17, 1997 NBC movie of the week, Born Into Exile will include two of Amanda Marshall's songs. The songs are Dark Horse and Sitting On Top Of The World. The movie is about the lives of teenage runaways, and was inspired by Elizabeth Wiles, who ultimately returned home after seeing her photo as a missing person in the Soul Asylum video Runaway Train. The USA National Center For Missing And Exploited Children was instrumental in bringing this story to the producers attention. The Center is involved in this film because they believe the film will have an impact on the runaway crisis by speaking directly to those affected in a film that will mix alternative music with a hard-hitting story. The songs are from Amanda's self titled debut album, which has just passed the 400,000 unit mark in Canada, making it quadruple Platinum.
