A Story and submit it via e-mail or print out the entry form found at

Send in your most interesting or unique personal story. Your story must be 400
words or less. The contest commences on Tuesday, November 13, 2001 and closes
at 11:59 a.m. on Monday, January 7, 2002. Ballots postmarked after contest closing
date will be disqualified. Ballots received after 11:59 a.m. on Monday, January
7, 2002 will not be accepted. One entry per person. Multiple entries will be
disqualified.
3. There will be ten (10) second place prizes, each consisting of an Amanda
Marshall poster and an Amanda Marshall postcard. The approximate value of each
second place prize is $15.00. There will be three (3) first place prizes, consisting
of an Amanda Marshall poster, an Amanda Marshall postcard, an Amanda Marshall
T-shirt and a prize pack from Toni&Guy including: L'Oreal Shampoo &
Conditioner, a detangling comb, TiGi Maxed-Out Hair Spray, TiGi Bedhead, TiGi
Roots Boost, TiGi Shimmer Lip Gloss. The approximate value of each first place
prize is $145.00. There will be one (1) grand prize, consisting of airfare for
two from the airport closest to winners hometown to Toronto, $200.00 (CDN)
spending money, two nights accommodation, an Amanda Marshall poster, an Amanda
Marshall postcard, an Amanda Marshall T-shirt, a Makeover for the winner and
a guest at Toni&Guy, a meet and greet with Amanda Marshall and two (2) concert
tickets to an Amanda Marshall concert in Toronto. Accommodations do not include
incidentals, telephone calls, meals, gratuities, hotel and departure taxes or
any other personal expenses incurred during or as result of the guests experience.
The approximate value of the grand prize is $4600.00 depending on the departure
point of the winner. Transportation to and from the Hotel and the concert will
not be provided. All prizes must be accepted as awarded, with no cash substitution,
and are non-transferable. Should any of the winners be unable to be contacted
within 48 hours of the draw in which his/her name was selected, or upon being
so contacted does not claim his/her prize by that time, or does not meet all
contest conditions, his/her prize will be automatically forfeited and another
eligible entry will be drawn.
4. Fourteen (14) entries will be drawn from all eligible at 11:59 a.m. ET on
on Tuesday, January 8, 2002. The draw will be made by a representative of Sony
Music Entertainment (Canada) Inc. in Toronto. Sony Music Entertainment (Canada)
Inc. will contact all eligible winners by telephone within 48 hours of the draw.
5. All entries become the property of Sony Music Entertainment (Canada) Inc.
and will not be returned. E-mail addresses collected will be added to the Amandamarshall.com
e-mailing list, unless otherwise specified by the entrant.
6. In order to win, the selected entrant must first have complied with the rules
and correctly answer, unaided, a time limited mathematical skill testing question
to be administered by telephone and will be required to sign a standard declaration
and release form confirming compliance with the contest rules and acceptance
of the prize as awarded.
7. The contest is open to all residents of Canada, and excludes all employees
(current and retired) of Sony Music Entertainment (Canada) Inc., their affiliates
and subsidiaries, advertising agencies and their immediate families and those
with whom they are domiciled.
8. The decision of the contest judges is final. Chances of winning are solely
dependent on the total number of eligible entries received.
9. This contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws. Void
where prohibited.
10. By entering the contest, each entrant or his/her parent(s)/legal guardian(s)
if under the age of majority agrees to be bound by these rules, and consents
to the use of their name, city of residence, image on videotape and/or photograph
without payment or compensation, in any publicity or advertising in any medium
carried out by Sony Music Entertainment (Canada) Inc.
11. The contest is sponsored by Sony Music Entertainment (Canada) Inc. and its
affiliates (the Sponsors). The Sponsors accept no liability or responsibility
for stolen, lost or misdirected entries or in connection with injuries, loss
or damage of any kind arising out of this contest or any prize awarded.
12. For Quebec residents, any litigation respecting the conduct and awarding
of a prize in this publicity contest may be submitted to La Regie des alcools
des courses et des jeux, 1 rue Notre-Dame Est, 9 étage, Montreal, Quebec
H2Y 1B6.
13. The right is reserved to terminate or withdraw this contest at any time
without prior notice.
14. All times noted are in Eastern Standard Time.
15. No cash or prize substitution
is allowed except at the discretion of Sponsor. If a prize cannot be awarded
due to actions or circumstances beyond the control of the Sponsors, a substitute
prize of equal or greater retail value will be awarded.
16. Decisions of the Sponsors shall be final in all matters relating to this
contest. The Sponsors are not in any way liable for damage, loss or injury resulting
from computer malfunctions, misdirected or incomplete entries or acceptance
and use of the prize.
17. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner based on such winner's
email address, the prize will be awarded to the registered account holder of
the email address used for the purpose of such entry.
